We offer a variety of exciting programs throughout the year. Some of our favorites include campfires, scout badges, snake and turtle feedings, and quarterly nature and story-themed tea parties. Our popular summer camps, such as Dinosaur Days, Geology Rocks, and Indian Princesses and Warriors, are loved by kids of all ages, and we also host seasonal programs like the Halloween Fearless Fest and Spring Egg Hunts. We enjoy teaching school groups about the natural world, but ask that they register in advance by calling Hidden Oaks. There are plenty of reasons to come visit Hidden Oaks and stay for a program too!
Hidden Oaks offers meeting accommodations for groups up to 100. Available for rent is a multi-purpose auditorium of approximately 700 square feet. The room enjoys a woodland view to a backyard habitat and night time users may spot a flying squirrel visiting the wildlife feeding stations. For details and booking, please contact Senior Interpreter Kim Young at 703-941-1065 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Our exciting birthday parties include a nature walk, craft, and naturalist presentation featuring live animals! Pick from our several themes: reptiles and amphibians, dinosaurs, mammals, insects, or Eastern Woodland Indians, or adapt one of these to fit your child's interests. Parties are targeted for children aged 3 to 12, and are usually held on weekend mornings. To learn more or book your party, please contact Senior Interpreter Kim Young at 703-941-1065 or email@example.com
To register and pay the fee for any of the programs seen above, head to FCPA Parktakes Online, or call the registration desk at 703-222-4664 weekdays from 9-4 or call the nature center at 703-941-1065. Programs more than three months away may not be open for registration yet, so save the date!
